TPACK Response

After reading TPACK I was able to understand how technology in the classroom is extremely useful, yet can be a difficult process.  The article discusses many factors that can cause difficulties, one factor is that it is constantly changing. The teacher would have to be prepared to use the technology they choose for their classroom, and be ready to keep up with its changes. Along with its changes, the article mentions that it is likely that new software will have some errors. It is the teachers responsibility to learn to deal with these errors they might run into and handle it properly. This made me think back to high school when the teachers would use technology in the classroom, and sometimes it would not work. However, we would be assigned to do another task while the problem was fixed. The article brought up an interesting point about how the teacher must be able to use the technology appropriately in whatever content. Technology can be used in different ways depending on the subject. The teacher has to be able to realize which subjects can be better represented with technology, and will make it easier for the students to understand. Technology has its pros along with its cons, and the teacher has to be prepared to work with both. The TPACK article describes how technology can be a great addition to the classroom as long as the teacher has knowledge on how to present it to their students.
